Believe
Every learner walks in with potential. We start by telling them so, and by expecting the best of them.
Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal · Since 1983
Belverton Secondary School has been part of Tongaat for over 40 years, recognised for excellence in the classroom and beyond it. Our matric class of 2025 achieved a 99.3% pass rate.

Our school
Belverton Secondary School opened in 1983 and sits in the heart of Tongaat. We teach Grades 8 to 12 and are proud of our record: 97.3% in 2023, 98% in 2024 and 99.3% in 2025.
But results are only part of the picture. Belverton is known for academic excellence and for co-curricular life: awards functions, school events and learners who represent the school in the wider Tongaat community.
Our crest carries a ship under sail and a burning torch, and the words Forward Forever.
What we stand for
Every learner walks in with potential. We start by telling them so, and by expecting the best of them.
Matric is a marathon. Our educators keep learners going through the hard terms with steady, practical support.
A 99.3% pass rate in 2025 is the result of that effort, shared between learners, educators and families.
Campus & community
Colourful murals brighten the ground floor of our main classroom block.
Belverton learners take part in community events, including presenting at the Tongaat Child & Family Welfare Society. Follow the school on Facebook for the latest news.
